Nachimoto Sidewalks

She looked back down at her sketchbook, breaking eye contact. She relaxed slightly, but she was still nervous. "...Used to what?"

"Used to this big town." Ragna replied as he looked to the girl who was shy, probably more shy than a abused animal of some kind. Ragna looked down to floor. "It is quite big, but something tells me you'll get through it."

She simply pulled her extra pencil out of her bag and started drawing again. "Just because it's big doesn't make it scary." but she thought, 'It's all the people that bother me.'

Ragna kept his attention down before looking upwards in a bit of a glance. "My name is Ragna." He figured he told her his name, Ragna then stood up and rubbing his back he sighed with his eyes closed.

She looked up hesitantly, but she didn't look directly at him, "I'm Sora."

"Well, Sora what are you going to do after this?" Ragna figured he would ask this for he could tell the girl was shy, he didn't think to much into it for it wasn't his business to know why she was so shy.

"I'll probably go home, and practice the piano for my mother." She went back to drawing. It was much more comfortable to be doing something with her hands while talking.

Ragna blinked once. "You play?" Ragna was surprised by the knowledge of the girl. Sora could play a piano while he couldn't play one, Ragna had always destroyed the piano due to him always messing up on a song.

She gave a timid nod, looking up at him slightly.

Ragna chuckled with his eyes closed. "Congrats. I can't play worth crap." He was being honest for he couldn't, Ragna would destroy it even if he tried.

She gave a soft smile, then went back to drawing. It wasn't his fault he didn't know it was simply a hobby her parents deemed appropriate. In her honest opinion, piano wasn't bad, but it hadn't been by her own free will that she learned.

Ragna looked to the left and then to the right of the sidewalk. "I wonder how Claude is doing." Ragna figured he would worry a bit about his butler since he wasn't as great at directions at times.

"Who?" She looked up again.

"My butler, he isn't to bright when it comes to directions especially when i'm not around" Ragna sighed faintly as he looked back to Sora silently. "Do you like your parents?"

"I guess. I care about them at least." She looked back down at her sketchbook.

Ragna nodded still looking to Sora silently. "Something tells me they like things perfect. Am I wrong?"

"That's an understatement." For the first time since the conversation started, Sora smiled faintly.

Ragna frowned which showed a bit on his face. "Hm, that doesn't sound fun" He looked down silently not liking the idea of overly perfect parents, Ragna silently looked back to Sora. "Do you hate it?"

"Sometimes. It's really just my mother though. My father just goes along with everything she says." She was working on her drawing again as she spoke.

Ragna made a narrowed eyed expression. "Hm." He looked down the sidewalk for a minute or so. "I never knew who my parents were."

She looked up at him with a frown. She didn't know what to say in this situation other than, "I'm sorry."

Ragna chuckled with his gaze now on Sora. "No, it is quite alright. I'm actually glad I have no idea who my parents are. They would only slow me down anyway."

She just watched him curiously, not understanding what he meant, but not being brave enough to ask about it.

Ragna silently thought for a second but didn't say anything more as he looked in Sora's direction before looking away silently.

With a quiet sigh, Sora looked back down at her sketchbook and continued drawing.
