Park Benches

Benches where anyone can come and rest.

Kasari walked into the park, coming from the city. She gently scanned her white cane in front of her, checking to make sure that there was nothing in front of her. She paused when her cane hit a park bench, but smirked and sat down on it. Pulling her cane into her lap, Kasari listened to the park around her. She could hear children playing on the playground a few yards away, and jogger's shoes slapping on the pavement. What interested her most, however, was the sound of birds. There were two in the tree above her that were bickering on how to build their nest. Kasari remained silent, listening to the fight but not doing or saying anything to intervene.

Kasari flinched when a wet nose nudged her hand. Cautiously, she pet the figure that had nudged her. It was Rowan. Sighing in relief, she continued to pet her friend elk. He lied down at the side of the bench, but didn't protest to being pet. Rowan snorted in contempt when he heard the birds bickering. "Stupid things. They quarrel about such little matters." Kasari nodded.

Ragna's being hid in the shadows of the forests near the benches. Almost growling out loud, his raven colored cat came trotting up and meowed meaning 'Hi!'. Ragna's eyebrow twitched as his fangs clench behind his muzzle, he was not at all amused or pleased.

Kasari blinked and turned her head. She couldn't see the cat, obviously, but could hear it. "Hello? May I ask who I'm speaking with?" Rowan stared at the cat, unmoving.

The cat rubbed itself up against her leg for it didn't have a name, it purred loudly and that alone was a large happy go lucky greeting. Ragna looked away with a line for eyes expression. He was going to have to make the cat dangerous for this was ridiculous.

Kasari smiled warmly when she felt the cat rub up against her, and reached down blindly until she felt it. Petting it, she wondered aloud, "Are you lost, kitty? What a shame..."

Ragna sighed which was muffled from his muzzle as he appeared from behind a tree. "No, that is my cat. Sadly." The cat meowed happily running up to Ragna and rubbed against his leg like a crazy cat.

Kasari turned her head towards him, to acknowledge that she had heard. "Well, it is a very fluffy cat indeed. My name is Kasari. May I inquire yours?" She tilted her head, curious at the stranger.

Ragna picked up his cat as it meows like a crazy animal begging attetion from him. "Ragna" he replied to Kasari for his voice was muffled due to the muzzle as he rubbed the cats chin as it purrs softly. Ragna looked to the cat as if it was a lost cause.

Kasari nodded and thought for a moment on how strange it was that his voice was muffled. It would be a rude question to ask why. Her thoughts were interrupted when one of the birds that had been fighting squawked loudly. It screamed and insisted that they built the nest higher up. Kasari sighed and shook her head, smiling softly. "Birds are such insane creatures." Rowan sighed in agreement.

Ragna looked to his cat some what more lost as he bit on his clawed hands and that made him shake his head. "I don't like birds" Ragna looked to the elk and raised a eyebrow for he doubted that was a good pet then again it probably was better than this cute useless cat.

Kasari stood, taking her white cane in her hands and placing it in front of her. Rowan nudged her side before walking into the forest. "I hope I didn't interrupt you? I hope I didn't pull you away from something important in the forest."

Ragna shook his head but blinking once he replied. "Not at all, I was just wanting to know why you were here. Not only that but your hair is simply interesting. Would you care to donate it to me?" The cat mewed cutely pawing at Ragna's clawed hands.

Kasari laughed lightly, nervously. "Well... I am here because I'm trying to find my way to an apartment complex or someplace to live. I recently left the orphanage that I was raised in." Tilting her head, she added. "I suppose you have short hair, then? I don't know if my color would match yours." Kasari smiled, enjoying this man's company.

Ragna blinked once as he replied. "My hair is black and long. So, I take it you will not donate your hair? Pity." Ragna looked to the cat and frowned a bit more seeing that the cat was just to cute to his liking.

"I would, Ragna, but I don't believe short hair would fancy me. Why, I would wake up in the morning and wonder where it would have all gone!" She looked over towards a nearby playground when she heard a thud and crying. "Did a child fall, just now?"

Ragna shrugged not sure as he watched Kasari and he smirked but it was hidden behind his muzzle. "Who knows?" The cat mewed and it looked around catching a glimpse of a butterfly.

Bugged by curiosity, Kasari asked without thinking, "Why is your voice muffled?" She paused, realizing how rude that must have sounded. "I mean no offense..."

Ragna's eyes went wide but closed as he chuckled. "It is muffled for I wear a Muzzle. As you have not heard back a long time ago, I am dangerous but I have been trying my best to stay out of trouble" The cat purred silently for it didn't want to chases after the butterfly for it was comfortable in Ragna's arms.

"You seem a kind enough person to me." Kasari tapped her white cane around her to make sure the surroundings hadn't changed.

Ragna raised a eyebrow. "Do you honestly mean that?" He tilted his head watching Kasari curiously. The cat went into a short sleep as he felt comfortable in Ragna's arms.

Kasari shrugged. "Other than the whole muzzle thing, I have no reason to believe otherwise. Instead of pushing a blind girl off of a bench, you gave her someone to talk to. Besides," She smiled, poking into the air gently where she thought he was. "If you keep a kitten, you have to be kind to take care of it."

Ragna frowned behind his muzzle. "But I want this cat to be mean and dangerous not cute and fluffy." Ragna sighed as he looked to Kasari's direction and he asked curiously. "You liked my company?"

Kasari nodded. "I don't get to talk to people much. No one ever comes up and talks to me. I can understand animals, but only a few can understand me." She smiled. "As for your cat. Feed him shredded chicken and tell him you killed the neighbor."
